Side Effects

Side Effects is Allen’s third and final collection of essays, short stories and playlets. It is written in the period from about 1975 until 1980. By then, his film work was getting too demanding for other interests.

Though the book is not as explosively, mind-alteringly funny as his earlier books, Side Effects is still loaded with chuckles, like the award-winning Kugelmass Episode and the philosophical playlet My Apology.

The first two stories, Remembering Needleman and The Condemned, are published at Amazon. To read them, just click on their name below.
